Schedules, Deadlines and Organization

As I’ve said before, I don’t really approve of New Year’s Resolutions (don-don-don!). They place too much importance on focusing on what you’ve done wrong in the past and place unrealistic expectations on oneself.

That being said, the start of a new year is a good time to make a few changes in your routine, so that is what I’m attempting.

I have two major goals for the coming year. One is to definitely make sure I post more often, incorporating videos. One would think that someone willing to blog would have no compunction about filming a video blog. I, however, am kind of shy about filming myself. I think I sound weird and I look even stranger…

Anywhoo! The next part of my personal development plan is to be a better housewife. Not the pearls while cleaning jazz, though I do wear a pearl necklace everyday… No, my plan is to treat the job as just that. A job. By creating a schedule and, hopefully, adhering to it, I want to make life easier for myself and the hubby.

For both of these goals I’ve been doing tons of research and planning (mostly online- I haven’t been to the local library yet). Aside from some strange-ass brochures from the fifties outlining the duty a housewife has to be gay and charming and never complain, a lot of sites had some great ideas on scheduling chores and cleaning.

So, in the interest of mild procrastination, starting Monday I will be attempting a new housekeeping schedule with blogging time built in. Hopefully you’ll be seeing much more of me, possibly in video form, and my house will be not that messy. Huzzah!

This image has nothing to do with my post. It’s just awesome.
